Whether you are out to shred trails on your all-mountain bike or looking to shave some time off your next marathon race, a Contour dropper post will improve your ride.

The Contour External V.20 is our updated external dropper post. The biggest improvement on this version is that the cable now enters in to the collar of the lower assembly rather than routing up to the head of the post. This means that cable routing is much easier and neater as the cable remains stationary whilst the dropper is being used.

What lever is best for me?

See the diagram in the image section for reference.

Under bar lever: This is our under bar lever that is suited to bikes with a 1X (single chainring up front) drivetrain.  The lever sits in the position where the front shifter would have been and mimics the thumb action of a shifter. Note: some new lockout levers are positioned here, in this scenario use an over bar lever.

Over bar lever: This lever works best for bikes with 2X or 3X drivetrains where a front shifter is still used on the handlebar. This can be run on the left or right of the handlebar and works with nearly every setup.

Will this dropper post work with my bike? See the size chart and technical documents sections below for more info about choosing the right dropper post.

FULLY SERVICEABLE

Our dropper posts use a simple serviceable design to ensure long lasting use. The upper seal, brass keys and bushings are all replaceable. Service intervals are between 6 months and 1 year depending on frequency of use. Service kits are available separately.

REPLACEABLE SEALED CARTRIDGE

A sealed cartridge allows for easy maintenance and can be replaced should the dropper post life wish to be elongated. Replacement cartridges are available separately.

MID CAP CABLE ATTACHMENT

Cable routing is kept neat by having the attachment point on the fixed mid cap of the post. The cable remains stationary whilst operating the dropper.

We have positioned the mid cap entry to face rearward to avoid touching the riders leg.

LIGHTWEIGHT & ROBUST CONSTRUCTION

Our dropper posts use high quality 7075 alloy that result in a robust lightweight structure. The stanchion is precisely machined and features a hard-anodised finish increasing durability in harsh conditions.

FINDING THE RIGHT DROPPER POST

Step 1. Determine the exposed seatpost dimension on your bike by measuring the distance between the centre of the saddle rail (A) and the top of the seat clamp (B).

Step 2. Compare this dimension to the table below.
